I have 20 years experience as a School Counselor. I started a private counseling practice in February 2015 as an LPC-Intern under the supervision of Dr. Donna Rial-Baker, D. Min., LPC-S. Even though I have gathered expertise working with children and youth for many years, I have spent the last 3 1/2 years building a practice working with clients of all ages including adults. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with adults who are interested in making life changes related to relationships, careers, and/or personal goals.

We find ourselves in need of someone to help unravel our heart issues. As a licensed professional counselor, I have had the privilege of watching people rediscover unlimited possibilities to live a bolder and more fulfilling life. All people go through difficult times in life. It is my desire to walk alongside you through those challenges as we work together to pursue healing. My primary area of focus is in working with teens and adults struggling with eating disorders, addiction, trauma, and difficulty with adjustment during times of transition. I also work with the families of those struggling with these issues in order to assist you in knowing how to best support your loved one.

I am an LPC with over 8 years of clinical experience who has worked with a multitude of clients ranging in age, generations, and experience within many diverse settings, fostering a well-rounded, practical, and comprehensive approach when it comes to working with clients. Walking through this journal called life is difficult and there lies an extra layer of challenges when one is struggling with their mental health specifically related to past or current traumatic events. In fact, without awareness, we often make decisions and behave based upon how our past experiences have made us feel. Dr. Rial-Baker is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Doctor of Ministry. She is a practical, interactive therapist who uses an array of therapeutic techniques. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional, spiritual, and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with clients to help them to build upon their strengths to bring life and blessings into all that they experience.

I am passionate about helping people. I also have a passion for people dealing with chronic illness, grief, and emotional and mental roadblocks that hinder joyous living. As a former educator and school counselor I have compassion and a nonjudgmental ear for those who are in, contemplating leaving, and who have left the profession. Also, as a parent of three adults, I have learned that parenting can be rewarding and challenging.

I work with clients struggling with sexual addiction, marriage issues, betrayal trauma, failure to launch, depression, anxiety and substance addiction.
