Life is a journey and it is important to meet clients right where they are at.
All individuals, couples and families have the ability to overcome obstacles (large and small) and improve quality of life. With a specialization in stress, anxiety, trauma and relationship conflict, I can help clients learn effective coping strategies and address the root causes/belief systems that create issues. As a certified sex therapist and Gottman Level 2 counselor, I enjoy helping couples work through intimacy and communication issues.

Chanae developed a passion to help others while working in ministry, providing coaching and support to church staff and their families.
Are you really "fine"? Everyone experiences tough seasons in life, so if you find yourself in a stuck place, you don't need to pretend everything is fine. Reach out, you're not alone, and take hope there can be better days ahead!

I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions, immigrant/acculturation issues, and trauma.
Life is complex, and we need support to overcome our challenges. My calming and supportive presence allows a safe environment for my clients to express their thoughts and feelings freely without any judgment. Once the therapeutic relationships are established, I will guide my clients toward their goals by gaining insights, changing their narratives, and getting connected to their internal resources. I firmly believe that therapy is not a "quick fix," Creating a lasting change involves a deeper exploration of issues and a commitment to work on self.

The therapeutic process can be a powerful experience that can give clients the motivation they need to make positive changes that can last a lifetime.
My approach to working with individuals, couples, and families includes a collaborative effort where solutions, instead of problems, are the focus of therapy sessions. I believe that one of the main goals of therapy is providing a safe and supportive environment while giving clients the tools and skills they need to make positive changes in their lives.

I help highly sensitive people transform that stuck energy from hidden traumas into creativity and connection, so they can live a life full of ease and excitement.
You're an empath, a highly sensitive person, HSP. The truth is, it's not your sensitivity that's hard to deal with—it's relationships. Especially figuring out your own needs beyond being useful to others. As an HSP, you probably put others' needs before your own from a young age. Adults praised you for your "maturity," and your friends liked you for your selflessness. You're burnt out, secretly resentful, and feeling depressed. You would have never thought those could be symptoms of "trauma." Now, you're ready to find a path where you can expand your energy instead of sacrificing it.

She’s helped me a lot with managing difficult situations and major life transitions.
I am glad you are reaching out for support. It is my belief that most people have the ability to grow and build on their own strengths; however, at times, need empowerment and encouragement. My goal is to help you work on and accomplish your goals, regardless of how big or how small they may be. My approach to working with individuals includes a collaborative approach where solutions, instead of problems, are the focus. I believe that one of the main goals is to give clients the tools and skills they need to make positive changes in their lives.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
