My clinical approach to counseling is person centered which includes respect and sincerity to each client. Among the many positive feedbacks I receive is non-judgmental, opened minded, warm and I offer a safe environment to allow sharing thoughts and feelings from where we can begin the healing process. I respect cultural differences and value each client as a unique individual.

My predominant perspective is holistic. which regards people and communities as wholes, not just parts pieced together. That means that your physical, psychological, spiritual, behavioral and other "selves" are all intertwined, acting together and impacting one another. Similarly, you live in a family, workplace, and community which influence and are influenced by you. In concrete terms this means that any difficulty that may bring you to see a counselor is seen from a broad perspective opening a wealth of insight and ability to respond.

Being everything to everyone is exhausting, builds resentment, and leaves us feeling irritable, angry, and sad. You often don’t have time for yourself and you may feel that no one truly sees you for who you are or all that you offer. The anxiety that comes from living this life can be stifling, confusing, and frustrating, but when exactly are you supposed to find the time to deal with all your feelings when you are constantly responding to everyone else's. The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.

Life can be challenging and sometimes, these challenges can be overwhelming. My approach to therapy is first to create a safe space where a person can process their thoughts and feelings. I believe we all have strengths that have helped us cope throughout our lives. Sometimes, we just need a space where we can stop, reenergize and maybe even learn new skills.

My purpose has always been to help children, teens and young adults find self-love. I use this to feed my passion in helping you find tools you need to get yourself through tough times and to understand your big emotions. I have spent the last 20 years working in psychiatric hospital and outpatient clinics. I have enjoyed working with children in foster care, juvenile justice center, drug court and truancy court. It has always warmed my heart seeing families learn how to support their loved one's on their journey. I would love to join you on finding the positive entities in your love to help stimulate your growth.

Time is of the essence, so let's not take it for granted. What did our parents and grandparents say? "Time brings on a change." So let's get to work! I tell all my partners (clients), "You don't work for me. I work for you. You owe me nothing, and I owe you the world." So, let's create your ideal world. I love to bring client interests into the therapy space, so it sets the stage for a more engaging experience. Whether it’s art, music, sports, pop culture, or other hobbies, we can make it a therapeutic experience. My motto is “Be as transparent as you are comfortable, so we can get you to the place where you want to be."
