Life situations can often burden us leaving us feeling overwhelmed and hopeless which can contribute to increased anxiety and disturbance in sleeping patterns. My specialty revolves around individual and family systems therapy which includes a unique approach to couples therapy (marriage counseling), life transitions, children, adolesecents and family of origin issues. Through my continuing post graduate training I have developed a behavioral, relational, and psychdynamic psychotheraputic approach to assist in allivating these patterns by enhancing communication styles, negotiating skills and problem solving techniques.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I believe in addressing a client's immediate concern, their current functioning, and their identified goals. I use a variety of treatment modalities and select those that best serve the needs of my clients. I do not believe in meeting with clients indefinitely. My hope is to help clients reach their goals and get to the point where they no longer need therapy. I believe in teaching my clients the specific skills they need to address their problem or concern.

Greetings, my clinical training is in Cognitive Behavior Therapy which assists in understanding personal struggles linked to the way we think and process our daily thoughts, worries and fears, which can lead to cyclical maladaptive behaviors. My emphasis is also in understanding the importance sleep cycles, mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise as part of our overall mental health. Although I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2006, I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1994, working in the mental health field since 1986.

Shelby Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 1998. Adrianna Linares is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas who has been practicing since 2015. She obtained her Bachelors and Masters degrees from UT Austin. Adrianna can offer a warm, inviting, and non-judgmental space to process current and past stressors. She enjoys being creative in session and brings in several techniques from play therapy, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and strengths-based approach to tailor treatment specifically to the client. Adrianna also enjoys educating clients on the brain and on how the mind processes.
