For over 20 years in the Clear Lake, Baytown and Galveston areas, Ms. Layne, has provided child( ages 6+), adolescent, adult, couples, and family therapy. She has provided trauma-recovery, cognitive behavioral, behavior modification, and insight oriented therapy, to survivors of sex, physical, emotional abuse and other life changing events. Ms. Layne has extensive experience working in juvenile justice systems, and under the guidance of psychiatrists, and psychologists providing assessments, crisis, short, and longer term therapy services.

I love talking to couples about every type of issue that comes up from infidelity to how to squeeze the toothpaste. I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have a special place in my heart for police officers as I have 30 years experience in that field (now retired). I understand the unique difficulties cops and their families face. I am a psychotherapist who has been in private practice for 30 years. Because of the longevity of my work, I have encountered a wide variety of people of all ages and problems. I believe in the dignity and value of each individual person and treat people with empathy, compassion, warmth, and kindness.
