Hello, I’m Mark Chapman and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for 30 years. During that time I have addressed some of the most complex cases of trauma and co-occurring mental health issues. I address trauma with Active Duty Military and Veterans, First Responders, Victims of Narcissistic Abuse, Sexual, Medical, Childhood, and Cumulative trauma to name a few.

My goals are to support clients in the challenges that they face and help them set attainable goals. I have worked in the mental health field for 12 years in a different number of roles. My specialty is working with individuals with dual-diagnosis, traumatic experience, and adoption. I have experience working with diverse populations from different cultural backgrounds and beliefs systems.

My focus in the counseling process is to meet individuals in their current life stage and work collaboratively to address any issues. As no two people are the same, the aim of treatment is to personalize the process with treatment goals to address unique needs. One main goal is to provide everyone with the tools and support to manage struggles, feel more confident and capable, and continue to grow and explore their own lives. I am passionate about working with professionals, young adults, college students, and adolescents as they navigate changes in their world and development.

I have worked with clients who have required past services at the inpatient, residential, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care.

My counseling practice focuses on adolescent and adults with a specialized focus on LGBTQ+ populations. As a gay man, I am held by deeply spiritual beliefs to help my LGBTQ+ community whenever possible. I also treat addiction, dual-diagnosis, spirituality, anxiety, gender identity, depression, divorce, grief and those who are recovering from religious abuse. I meet clients where they are in life and that is always my starting point while building a relationship to facilitate change.

I have been found to be very effective in conducting mental health/substance abuse interventions and therapy. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I utilize a systems perspective to empower individuals to understand how change in one part of the system can affect the entire system (whole person).
