I use techniques like EMDR, DBT and IFS and emphasize a non-religious space.
Hi! My name is Mishaal and as a therapist I really focus on creating a space that is safe and full of compassion because most of us have trouble finding spaces like that in our everyday lives. My goal is simply to help people feel better, and my therapy style is collaborative where together we identify issues and come up with solutions. While there are many approaches to therapy, I find the most value in engaging with my clients and being real in sessions. Meaning, I like to ask questions, offer perspectives, teach you tools, and sometimes just sit there with you while you feel a hard emotion.

Katie then uses DBT and ACT to turn relevant observations and insights into attainable goals and an actionable plan.
Katie began her career focused on substance abuse, giving her the opportunity to work with a variety of diagnoses, co-occurring disorders, and facilitating group therapy for children impacted by loved one’s addiction. While Katie works with a variety of disorders, she specializes in Emotional Dysregulation, Trauma, and Attachment Styles which are areas that get ignored in one's life. It's a ripple effect of working through the battles and then only having scars to look at. Katie focuses on the present and creates peace and beauty from the within.

I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
I specialize in working with young adults and teens. I have always enjoyed working with this age group. Being a teenager is such an important time of one’s life and there are so many decisions to made. I have worked with young men and women for the last seven years and love the opportunity to walk along their journey with them. During your teen and young adult years there are so many pressures: relationships, friendships, school, parents, your future, social pressures at school, exposure to substances, and figuring out who you want to be. I truly enjoy being part of the process when a young person finds themself.

My approach to treatment is client-centered, individualized, and incorporates CBT & DBT principles.
Adulthood can generally mean transitions, complex relationships, self-doubt, and uncertainty. Unfortunately, nobody told us how to navigate all of this and it can feel really challenging to balance all of the responsibilities. If things in your life feel really overwhelming or you notice that your life feels stagnant and you want to keep growing, you don’t have to go through it alone. I meet you where you’re at and we work to add tools to your toolbox in a safe and non-judgmental space. I want to work with you to help you discover a peaceful relationship with yourself.
