I believe therapy should provide anyone the space they need to identify, process, and treat the problems they face in day to day life. We are all equipped with the tools we need to succeed and find wholeness - but sometimes even the strongest people need a little help working through challenges in life. Learning how to make choices that help you overcome difficult issues is my goal in counseling. As a former school counselor, I have experience working with children learn to deal with anxiety, anger management, depression, grief, and self-esteem. By providing a safe empathetic environment, we can build healthy coping skills.

The "Men's Anger Management Program" begins with me meeting with the Man alone or Man and his Partner for an hour screening session. Robin Exum M.Ed., LPC-S, LCDC, NCC is trained to help all his clients overcome all abusive behavior, beginning with anger & rage, control and blame and selfish demands. At the Houston Center for Training & Supervision, Robin aims to help couples work through differences in a manner that honors the wellbeing of each individual as a whole. The initial screening is $185.00. The 8 sessions are $175.00 each payable in two payments of $700.00.

Therapy is a journey, and some clients enter my office with very little to no hope for themselves or for change. I assure my clients that I will hold the hope for them until they can hold it for themselves. I believe that therapy is most effective when we explore the source of our self-limiting beliefs. This involves looking into our family of origin, and how we came to think, feel and behave as we do. Through exploring the source, clients often come to see themselves in a new light which helps them develop a deeper sense of self-love and worth.

Life can be challenging, and it can be difficult to know how to make it better. Having someone to help guide you through the challenges can make it less overwhelming. I believe in the power for every person to change their life if given the right roadmap to follow. I work with children, teens, and adults. The treatment approach used depends on the needs of the client. I use play therapy with children because play allows them to express themselves when they may not have the words to talk about their thoughts or feelings. I use traditional talk therapy and other approaches with teens and adults.

Also, grief has been a difficult process for patients who loss a love one both deceased and divorced that I have treated in both traumatic and non traumatic cases. I also have a speciality with those who are dealing with difficult oartner relationships. (i.e. blended famillies, reactionary communication that deteriiorate the couple relationship, remarriage and divorce mediation) I also provide medication monitoring for patients taking psychotropic meds.
