Hi! I’m Cathy Armstrong and offer a holistic multifaceted approach to inner healing, getting to the root cause of addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders and trauma. I address issues of spirituality and have both secular and nonsecular education and training. I have a non- related too counseling PhD in religious studies as an inner faith minister. I have studied spiritual mysticism and metaphysical practices in Christian, Catholic, and non-Christian religions. I am very open-minded when it comes to faith and spiritual care and I am here to accompany you on your individual path to healing, change and transformation.

I primarily counsel through REBT or Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. I push for people to set realistic expectations for themselves and the people they allow in their lives. As a gradate of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi I earned a Masters degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health. Certified in Mental Health First Aid through the City of Corpus Christi, I am also experienced in providing counseling services to victims of violent crimes and domestic abuse. My overall objective is to assist the client as they navigate their way through difficult and sometimes traumatic events to help them reach their goals of obtaining optimum mental health wellness.

I am dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
