I believe that recovery from trauma is possible.
Do you feel stuck in life and can’t figure out why? Are there days that pretending to be “okay” feels like too much? Maybe you've felt depressed or anxious for a long time and nothing seems to work or feel after years of being hurt your unable to trust someone to help you. The clients I’ve seen have faced these very same dilemmas and more. I work with teens, adults, and couples who are ready for something to change to be able to feel actually okay again. I offer a safe space to process some of the hardest moments so you can enjoy the happiest moments outside of therapy.

I understand how overwhelming it can feel to be stuck in patterns shaped by past trauma, strained relationships, or spiritual wounds.
Imagine feeling stuck in a cycle of self-doubt, strained relationships, and emotional patterns you can’t quite understand. You sense your past, especially family dynamics, is affecting your present, or you may be working on developing a healthy sense of sexuality. You want clarity—to understand how your past impacts you and to break free from these patterns. Your goal is to heal, build stronger relationships, and create a more empowered future for yourself and your loved ones. I'm here to help guide you on that journey.

If you are experiencing unresolved trauma, career-related emotional disturbances, or recurring patterns of sabotaging behavior, you do not have to walk this path alone.
Along with trauma and spirituality, I currently specialize in providing therapy to business owners, church leaders, and other professionals who are dealing with career-related emotional and/or behavioral impairments. I take an individual and proactive approach to therapy, focusing on symptom amelioration along with identification of the underlying contributing patterns.

I specialize in trauma and am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist.
As human beings, we all experience stressors throughout our lives and some of us endure traumatic experiences, which can lead us to feel hopeless and broken at times. Even in our darkest hours we have unique strengths that can be temporarily lost within the storm. We all have the choice and power within to find healing and to ultimately change ourselves and our situation in the process. When we cannot find the answers in the world around us, it is time to look within.

Natural Processing recognizes both the brain's automatic repression of trauma and the opposing human drive for completion, which compels us to revisit unprocessed trauma until it is resolved.
Human suffering stems from unacknowledged trauma which develops multiple ways including spans of prolonged stress, surgery, crime, grief, injury, childhood neglect or abuse, domestic violence or bullying. Trauma symptoms- depression, anxiety, and PTSD, are difficult to overcome. With traditional therapy you may find symptoms keep resurfacing, thus impairing your functioning and leading you to feel frustrated and discouraged. But, there is another way to do therapy, the EMDR way. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a therapy that goes directly to the trauma by targeting the way it is stored in your brain.

” I work with all the detours that get in our way: anxiety, depression, grief, attention, impulse control, emotional regulation, bipolar, relationships, and TRAUMA RECOVERY just to name a few.
Taking time out for yourself is often an overwhelming task. Getting help isn’t easy. I know. I’ve been there. And I know, this is an important step. Sometimes in life we go through painful experiences. We usually try our best to work though that pain alone. Maybe we even have close friends and family who we confide in…but we still may feel alone, disconnected, or misunderstood. We are not designed to heal from pain and emotional injury by ourselves - alone. Having attempted that myself, I managed to only compound that loneliness and pain. Ultimately, professional guidance helped lead my healing. I think I can help lead yours.

I have personal experience with depression, suicide, anxiety, anger, and trauma.
We all have strategies in place for how we deal with psychological stressors. We all have ways that we cope with daily life. Sometimes we are challenged in unexpected ways, and suddenly those strategies that have safe guarded us no longer seem to work, or seem to make the issue more challenging. My goal is to provide the tools necessary to more effectively alter and change one's course in life. People often express their emotions in ways that result in unwanted challenges. I will help in creating coping skills and providing strategies to more effectively achieve one's own therapeutic goals.

As a survivor of trauma myself, much like many of my clients, I lived in a constant state of 'autopilot' and 'fight or flight' for years- until I found an incredible therapist and experienced tangible and lasting change which inspired me to facilitate this process for others.
You have overcome hardships in your life that have led you to become high-achieving in your personal and professional goals. You may feel overwhelmed with work/ life balance but have high hopes and dreams of success in all areas of your life. Imposter syndrome and perfectionism have led to burnout and anxiety, and you're unsure how to tackle the overwhelm. You're ready and willing to work on yourself to improve your relationships, self-expression, leadership skills, negative self-talk and unbelief, capacity for authenticity, and resilience. You know that now is the time to make lasting and sustainable change in your life!

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
