Welcome! My name is Victoria Williams and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with individuals and family in areas such as anxiety, anger management, behavioral issues, coping skills, and depression, amongst others. I work well with adolescents in that I listen to them and help them gain insight to understanding how their behaviors play a major role in their future. I use the cognitive behavioral therapy approach as I believe thoughts are directly tied to behaviors. Once we are able to identify irrational thoughts, we can start to learn more positive functional behaviors to respond to uncomfortable situations.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. During my education, I completed an internship at Promise House, Inc. providing therapy to children and adolescents in CPS care. Post education, I gained experience in treating clients of all ages with anxiety, depression, substance use and addiction issues, self-harm and suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, life adjustments/daily stressors, grief, and trauma. I also have experience working with parents of teenagers with dual diagnosis substance use and mental health issues.

I have a passion for working with others to improve their quality of life. I have spent over twenty years working with children of all ages, adolescents and adults, whom have had emotional, behavioral, medical and learning challenges. I have experience providing family and marital counseling. My experience also includes working with individuals whom have dual diagnosis using different forms of psychotherapy. I meet my clients where they are to partner with them in making a positive impact in their lives. I choose to live my life by the words of Mahatma Gandhi “You must be the Change you wish to see in the World".

People can change. As a recovered alcoholic for over 22 years, I am passionate in my desire to help those struggling with addiction to understand why this is happening, how to succeed at staying sober, and what it means to live a new life in recovery. As a specialist in the treatment of dual-diagnosis and process addiction disorders for both adolescents and adults, I strive to provide anyone affected by the disease of addiction with the tools necessary to restore sanity in their lives. I have been found to be very effective in conducting mental health/substance abuse interventions and therapy.
