Courtney works with children, teens, and young adults to assist with all forms of mental health disorders. She has spent the past three years specializing in trauma therapy, Christian therapy, and personcentered therapy. Courtney thoroughly enjoys getting to know her clients and guiding them through difficult times in their lives. Outside of work, Courtney is a mom to small kiddos, so she spends most of her time chasing around her kids, being outside, and trying to spend some personal time reading or volunteering at her church.

Veronica is a trauma-informed therapist specializing in supporting individuals affected by childhood trauma. With a deep understanding of cultural and societal factors, she offers compassionate and culturally sensitive therapy. Her expertise in trauma-informed care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-focused techniques, helps clients find strength, resilience, and hope on their healing journey.

I am currently an LPC-Associate in the state of Texas under the supervision of Sarah Arnold, LPC-S. I am now accepting new clients in person in the Austin, TX area or virtually. My specialty is helping adult individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and stress with coping strategies and cognitive-behavioral techniques. I work with the client to observe and acknowledge past beliefs and motivations and then work to rewrite that hindering narrative. I also see couples seeking relationship healing and connection through identifying hurtful patterns to rebuild trust and intimacy.

Being a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) means that I incorporate many facets of your life into therapy. Often people think that MFTs only work with couples and families, while we do often work a lot with these clients, we also work with individuals and bring our systemic approach to therapy with them as well. Personally, it just makes sense to me to take into account all of the different systems you are connected to as I work to help you be where you want to be. I received my graduate degree in Social Work from Texas State University and my undergraduate degree in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas. I have experience working with teens in an outpatient group setting. I have worked with teenagers struggling with suicidality, self-harm, and many other symptoms of depression, anxiety and personality or mood disorders.

Trauma leaves a residue of dysfunctional thoughts, behaviors, and medical conditions that can and need to be detoxed out. EMDR treatment has effects such as no longer depending on pharmaceuticals, having an extra second to think, & more. I have spent two decades studying personality disorders, & the body's mechanism to dissociate. A spark was ignited when I first taught self-efficacy to orphaned and trafficked girls in India and I have been striving for change when others have given up ever since. We need to redefine and change the vocabulary of "mental illness" and "stable; into "gifted" and "recovered".

I believe that everyone can reach an optimum state of mental health. Life can be messy, tricky, wonderful and terrible. At times, we all need help. It is my passion and joy in life to help others to gain insight and skills in order to find hope, healing, strength, courage and increased resiliency in order to better manage the relationship with themself and others who are important to them in their life.
