Hello! I am Amanda, counselor of 15 years, wife of 17 years, and mother of 10 years and counting. I have been a resident of the North Austin area for the last five years and am a Texas native, though I did spend some time growing up in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I am active in my son’s school, my church, and my community which I am happy to call home.

I desire to explore each unique story in order to help the client increase self-awareness, understand and process unresolved issues and hurts, gain new skills and implement practical strategies for a healthier and more purposeful life. Above all, I hope to create a safe space for healing to occur and genuine progress to be made.

By focusing on your good habits and strengths, I can help you to take the next steps to build the steps you need to create the life you want for you, your child, your family or your marriage. I also provide supervision for counselors working on their LPC.

Anxiety and OCD can feel completely overwhelming physically, mentally, and emotionally, and can make everyday life very challenging. I am an eclectic therapist that combines emotion-focused strategies with psychotherapeutic evidence-based approaches. The underlying principles in my approach are that treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem and more can be traced to experiences, beliefs of shame, and other negative core beliefs in an individual. Finding out these aspects of a person’s life, naming them, and working through them are components of her counseling process. I believe in providing a holistic counseling therapy process so you live a wholly present, healthy life.

Currently accepting new clients - I am a highly seasoned and experienced therapist with over 15 years of diverse clinical experience in: special siblings, eating disorders, substance abuse, codependency, couples therapy, relationship issues, infidelity, anxiety, depression, and self/person of the therapist. I have extensive training in areas of faith/spirituality and in issues of transference/countertransference for healthcare professionals, particularly other therapists. My passion is in working with all types of couples, and with individuals connecting their past to their present!

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. I'm here to walk alongside you through this journey of healing and growth. I work with adolescents, adults, couples and families who may be dealing with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, trauma, stress, communication problems and relational problems – to name a few. I have over three years of working as a school counselor and over ten years of working with children and adolescents in community settings. I am currently working towards being certified in Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
