I consider my role as a therapist to be one of the most sacred parts of my life. There is a beauty in walking alongside people in search of safety, meaning, belonging, healing, hope, and love. Through each therapeutic relationship I build, I walk away changed and inspired by individual's capacity to grow, accept, change, and see the beauty in themselves and the world around them. It brings me joy to walk to journey of hope and witnessing the magic of others overcoming their difficult experiences.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, my goals are to create a safe and supportive environment in which all individuals can thrive, contributing to a healthier and happier family life. I love working with children and adolescents, and use play therapy, art, and music to help them express feelings and concerns when words don’t come so easily. I also value working with couples and individuals to explore the impact their family of origin or current relationships are having on their emotions and coping. Finding healthy ways to cope with the stresses of today's world can be challenging, and I'd welcome supporting you in your journey.

I am a licensed psychologist located in Cedar Park. In addition to forensic, spinal cord, bariatric, and law enforcement evaluations, I also provide psychotherapy to adults, couples, and children.

By combining my personal life experience with formal education and training, I bring hope, empathy, kindness, and a solution focused mentality to the table as a counselor. I have many years of experience working with people who struggle with addiction, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I take a holistic approach to counseling which means that in our sessions we address mental health, as well as physical health, nutrition, and more.

I am originally from Virginia but have also lived in Arkansas and Texas. I am the father of five adult children and the husband to a wife of many years. I worked in blue collar fields before and during my counseling training, painting houses and repairing mechanical components aboard Navy war ships. Since college I have been in private counseling practice, worked at a psychiatric hospital, detention center, group home, and home for adults with head injuries, served as church counselor and education director, and taught psychology courses at multiple universities in Texas and Arkansas.

Hilda Moreno, BA, MEd, MBA, PHD, LPC-S is a Counselor with 30 years of experience with adolescents, adults and children. She is passionate about helping people obtain a balanced life. Dr. Moreno specializes in trauma, grief, career exploration, and adjustment disorder. She worked as a teacher and school counselor for 28 years, a parent trainer for 1 year, and worked with probation clients for 2 years. Her own personal experiences as a person who has attained a terminal degree, a single parent, a divorcee, and someone who has lost a loved one enable her to serve multiple therapeutic needs.

Courtney Pataray is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas who has been practicing since 2021. Courtney works with children, teens, and young adults to assist with all forms of mental health disorders. She has spent the past three years specializing in trauma therapy, Christian therapy, and personcentered therapy. Courtney thoroughly enjoys getting to know her clients and guiding them through difficult times in their lives. Outside of work, Courtney is a mom to small kiddos, so she spends most of her time chasing around her kids, being outside, and trying to spend some personal time reading or volunteering at her church.

These experiences leave you feeling unbalanced, scattered, and, at times, tormented by the past. You long to feel like yourself again, or maybe for the first time.

After 7 years as a teacher and school counselor, Kathryn (Nin) Emery now serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her background was founded on a passion for working with teens, guiding them as they navigate the tumultuous period of adolescence. She will offer a safe, non-judgmental place to support personal growth. Older adolescents will be offered more privileges in privacy, however, parents will remain frequently updated and well-informed. Play therapy is also her passion; a research-based modality of working with younger children.
