I specialize in working with clients with PTSD, complex PTSD, recovery from childhood abuse, dissociative disorders, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, hopelessness, helplessness, self-harm, grief and loss, family of origin issues, attachment, and relationship difficulties.
As a fellow truth seeker and meaning maker, I know firsthand how challenges in life can seem inescapable at times. I also personally understand the layered impact that a history of trauma has on our physical, emotional, and spiritual selves. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about supporting women to learn to connect, cultivate, and honor their deepest sense of self, from the inside out, and what I like to think of as on a soul level. I want to support you to learn how to own all parts of yourself - mindfully, without judgment, and to honor your soul.

My specialties include Dual Diagnosis (co-occurring chemical dependency and mental health issues); impaired professionals, chronic pain, Trauma, and individuals struggling with major life transitions.
Choosing a therapist is a very personal decision. It's important that you feel comfortable. Finding a safe, confidential and collaborative experience in counseling is my goal. When meeting with adult clients I blend a number of treatment approaches in my work, including client centered, motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapies. My clients have described me as compassionate, respectful and supportive, with a good sense of humor. Each person is unique to their own personal experiences in therapy and I adapt my skills to fit your needs.

Some of my focus areas include: generational trauma, life transitions, relational stressors in romantic and family of origin relationships, codependency, and culturally informed boundaries work.
The teens and adults I often work with are folks who, in their pursuit to “have it all,” are feeling stuck, lonely, and at times may feel overwhelmed by a harsh inner critic. Often times, my clients are introspective, deep thinkers and deep feelers, who want to do what's best for them and their loved ones, but struggle to find the right balance between the two for themselves.

Through trauma informed techniques we can alleviate relationship anxiety and, by getting in tune with your emotions, you can better understand yourself and/or communicate to your partner.
Are you grappling with the aftermath of betrayal or broken trust in your relationship? Do you feel lost, confused, and hurt? You are not broken for not being able to move forward past this experience. Time and a safe space is often needed to make sense of the pain and trauma caused by broken trust. You do not have to move through this time alone. My aim is to provide insights regarding the effects of betrayal while empowering you and your personal strengths as you navigate relationship repair and/or as you focus on individual growth.

EMDR is a memory-based approach that effectively treats trauma and other adverse life experiences.
Can you relate: From an outsider's perspective, it appears you have everything together, yet there's an underlying sense of something missing. Despite your efforts to stay focused on personal goals, you often compare yourself to others, which leads to feelings of insecurity and worthlessness. You tend to dwell on your failures rather than celebrating your achievements. This self-doubt and constant questioning of your decisions contribute to feelings of anxiety and depression. You are not alone!

My practice is client-centered and trauma-informed.
New clients welcome! I provide space for clients to get support with challenging feelings. Here, my clients are met within a relationship that enables them to work towards their goals. This shift often transforms their relationships and the world. My clients’ experiences in the past and present matter in our work together. Our feelings are wonderful tools that can help us live richer lives. Many people have been mistakenly given the message that feelings are too big or bothersome to give full respect and attention.

I am a Latina woman of color, trained in trauma-informed care.
We travel various paths throughout our lives, weaving experiences together writing the story of who we are. Experiences may cause us to question the path, and suddenly our story no longer reflects the life we intended to live. At these times of questioning, we must explore how to proceed. If you find yourself looking for someone to talk with, to think through where life has led you, allow me to walk with you for a while on your journey. What meridian lines do you need to guide you to your destination? Let’s work together to find how your story shifted from your intended path, and let’s find how your journey continues.
