I am an independently Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) who integrates Christian faith with professional mental health training and skills. My counseling approach is person-centered using an eclectic position (i.e. I do not rigidly stick to one specific approach). Since each individual has their own unique experiences, I believe that it is in the best interest of the client to take into consideration an approach that will best fit their desired goals. I counsel teenagers, adults, couples, families, and military members, addressing experiences in all areas, including abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, moral injury, relationships, stress, and trauma.

I enjoy working with clients to navigate life-stage changes within family systems. I enjoy working with teens, preteens, and children as young as 4 years old. I have 16 years of experience in teaching and an additional 8 years in youth and children's ministry. I also work with couples in pre-marital and marital counseling.

My main forms of therapy tend to be solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy and person centered with a priority in making changes in behavior and thinking. However, all forms of therapy are used in my practice including but not limited to narrative, reality, mindfulness, play therapy, some art therapy, and sand tray therapy to explore all facets of the self. I will use whatever works best for you. I believe that therapy is a place to explore uncomfortable emotions, issues, and trauma, as well as explore who you are, who you have been and what you want for your future with a focus on your strengths, resilience, and balance.

I established my practice to provide sound therapy to those who are seeking to grow, heal, transition--to shift from established ways of coping that are no longer helpful and to heal from past pains that cause present distress. My approach is very engaging and practical and helps individuals and couples manage and experience their life and relationships in more stable and positive ways.
