Therapy is a great addition to your self-care routine to be your best self! My focuses are anxiety, depression, and trauma resiliency.
One of my favorite quotes embodies my approach to therapy. “Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul.” C.G. Jung Therapy can include warmth, humor, comfort, safety, and fun. As your therapist, I bring the playful spirit of curiosity and a deep love for the transformative power of therapy to our work. My approach is heart-based and guided by your interests, your insights, and your needs. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, and I often receive feedback from clients that they look forward to their sessions.

My relational approach to therapy and certification in perinatal mental health also allow me to support women with a range of challenges before, during and after pregnancy, particularly with postpartum anxiety/ depression.
Not accepting new clients as I transition into maternity leave through January 2025. Shutting off the "inner critic" can often feel impossible. As such, most of the adults I treat struggle with negative beliefs about themselves in addition to anxiety/ depression, body dysmorphia/low self-esteem, heartbreak/relationship problems or early attachment wounds/relational trauma. Supporting college students and young professionals who are navigating adulthood and the myriad of personal and professional challenges that can arise during this time is a passion of mine. I also enjoy supporting perfectionists and high-achieving individuals.

I truly want to help those who are having problems with feelings of depression, anxiety, trauma, sadness, helplessness, and guilt, or any other disorder that can cause complications in life.
My regard for my clients is always unconditional and it is always positive. I want to help those who have problems with depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, or many other mental health crises, these things that disconnect a person from himself or herself. More than ever, we have a duty to take ownership and redefine ourselves. Sometimes this requires much work, reflection, pain, courage, and sometimes maybe even a rebirth. I believe I can provide help with these things.

Your relationship with yourself and others cause you to suffer in ways that your friends can't fully comprehend. Feelings of failure, insecurity, anxiety and depression have left you feeling like a stranger in your own life. You question yourself, wondering if you've done something wrong... whether there's something you should be doing differently. Friends and family are trying to be helpful with their advice, but it often leaves you feeling worse. Some days you have hope and others you feel you are in true despair. You are desperate to make sense of it all, and you don't know where to turn.

Many people seek out therapy for different reasons sometimes for loss, trauma, life transitions, anxiety and depression, feeling stuck in life, and sometimes for help adding coping skills for day to day life. My approach to therapy is mainly rooted in CBT and Mindfulness, working with you to examine how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and how by navigating through changes in our lives with a more present and focus lens we can minimize anxiety and add to our coping skills toolbox. By taking a mindfulness approach, we will find ways to navigate through past experiences and the curve balls life throws at us.

Over my 49 years, my life has been touched by a variety of mental health issues with friends & family: addiction, BPD, depression, psychosis, homelessness, & suicide.
I believe that the most therapeutic experiences involve a mix of straightforwardness, empathy and empowerment, and I strive to do this with my clients. I truly believe everyone is doing the best they can, with what they have, at the time. That's where we'll start. I am challenging, curious and straightforward. Areas of interest and experience for me include, but are not limited to, trauma stemming from: abuse, family of origin, relationships with people who have personality disorder, and grief (esp. after suicide loss); anxiety, dissociative issues, addiction, depression, relationship issues, transitions, and spiritual growth.

Have you ever been to counseling and just felt awkward the whole time? Yeah, me too. I pride myself on making the process of counseling enjoyable, even when it's difficult, by building trust, being genuine, and being relatable as a human, not a clinician. I strive always to be intentional about how to approach each and every individual's unique situation. Whether you are wrestling with anxiety or depression, stress from big life changes, relationship troubles, or coming to grips with past traumas, I would be honored to work with you to navigate these challenges you may be facing.

I have experience working with individual adults dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, career/life transitions, parenting, trauma, and existential issues.
My path to therapy began at an early age. My own successful therapy experience led me to overcome traumatic events and lead a healthy, adaptive life, which eventually led me to the counseling profession and catalyzed my desire to help others work through life's difficulties. I always apply my past experiences—with trauma, with counseling, and in a professional setting —to understand my clients and help each one manage and overcome their presenting issues. I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy. We could all use some support in our journey to achieve positive change.
