Therapy can be beneficial for dealing with the challenges of life; both the ongoing and the sudden. You may be feeling lost, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied; maybe you have stubborn patterns, or you want to get to know yourself a little more. I will work with you where you are at, using various approaches from CBT, Mindfulness, Existentialism and traditional psychotherapeutic methods. Sometimes, we will laugh or cry; some sessions will feel supportive, and others, frank and challenging. I encourage you to bring your whole self to the sessions, ask whatever you want, and risk going to uncomfortable places.

I'm Amanda Frazier, LCSW. My goal is to help people navigate life in a meaningful way. We all experience a wide range of thoughts, feelings and emotions that can be really challenging. With some experiences more distressing than others it can certainly help to seek support. I help clients explore their inner complexities, calm the inner critic, manage intense emotions, adapt troubling behaviors and feel more grounded over time. I encourage folks to take small steps towards change and celebrate progress over perfection. Together we consider what's contributing to distress and overwhelm and establish a plan to manage daily life.

There is a lot of therapy out there, and we've found that while no therapist can help everyone, our team at Decades excels when working with college students and young adults. We help our clients work through anxiety, depression, and relationship stress, eating disorders, trauma, and new life changes. We want to be effective at helping those we work with so we've chosen to specialize in this stage of life.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of clinical experience in mental health. Making the decision to look for a therapist is a courageous one and can come from a myriad of reasons. You may be feeling stuck, lost in the chaos of life, adjusting to a life transition or struggling with anxiety. Perhaps you’re experiencing difficulties in relationships, struggling to find connections or meaning in your life. Or maybe you just feel like you need help exploring yourself and your history to come to a more defined sense of self.

My typical clients are adults who have so much compassion and empathy for others but find it hard to extend that kindness to themselves. They often don't even realize how much they beat themselves up. They may be recovering from a toxic relationship with a spouse or a parent. They are trying to stop the endless stream of worries and panicked feelings. They want to set down the enormous weight of all those expectations. Mostly, my clients want to feel safe in their homes, communities, relationships, minds and their own bodies. Appointments available now. Schedule online at ChrisEatonLPC.com.

Have you felt like everyday is a treadmill that's going too fast? Feeling guilty for taking time for yourself? Having doubts like: Am I in the right career? Are the people around me good for me? Why do I keep arguing with my family? Or maybe you feel a disconnect with your complex cultural background. Does the sense of belonging come with straddling two or more cultures? Are you feeling overwhelmed by the weight of heavy expectations? Any of these issues can bring stress, confusion, regret, and a sense of isolation. I would love to help. I'm a child of immigrants trying to make the world a better place, one person at a time.

Your relationship with yourself and others cause you to suffer in ways that your friends can't fully comprehend. Feelings of failure, insecurity, anxiety and depression have left you feeling like a stranger in your own life. You question yourself, wondering if you've done something wrong... whether there's something you should be doing differently. Friends and family are trying to be helpful with their advice, but it often leaves you feeling worse. Some days you have hope and others you feel you are in true despair. You are desperate to make sense of it all, and you don't know where to turn.

I help people to get clear with their emotions, through mindfulness and self-compassion. I start this process by getting curious with you about what is currently happening in your thoughts, feelings, and in your life. My way of working is supportive, compassionate, and aims to get at the root of things, so that you can navigate through life with more ease and an increasing sense of wholeness. My specialties are: Anxiety, Depression, and Life Transitions. I work with adults of all genders and racial identities, who want or need to honor themselves more, and are ready to be or are already on a healing path.

How do you define adulthood in a modern world? No one tells you how to be an adult. Or maybe too many people tell you too many things. And how do you know when you’ve gotten there? The answer to this question is different for everyone. It’s not surprising you’re feeling lost, confused, anxious, or depressed thinking about adulthood. Our brains continue to develop well into our mid-20s, yet society expects us to have things figured out by then. I know I definitely didn’t! People wait much longer to meet the milestones of previous generations, and then are just expected to know how to navigate everything in the meantime.
