Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself as a passionate practitioner for over twenty five years. My service includes a broad range of ages and issues with a primary focus on children and family dynamics. I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor-Supervisor (LPC-S) based in Texas. I received my Doctorate from the Texas Southern University, a Master's in Applied Psychology from Houston Baptist University and my first Mater's in Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.

As an LPC, I enjoy working with individuals struggling with a variety of challenges that may impede their daily well-being. I enjoy helping clients uncover past traumas that are hindering their progress. I look forward to speaking with you about working towards fulfilling your personal, relationship, and professional goals.

I won't listen and sit expressionless, only nodding occasionally during our time together. I am warm but more direct then that. I care deeply about people I work with. I seek to offer real help. I'm empathic, down to earth and passionate helping. We’ll define goals together. You’ll get feedback that’s helpful and sometimes challenging. Often getting to a better place is not all that complicated and therapy doesn't have to be an endless process that grinds on. My clinical practice offers individual, and couples therapy. I have experience in treating and/or assessing a range of psychological problems.

I provide counseling for individual adults, couples, families and children. I help clients to overcome obstacles and achieve healthier relationships. Some of my specialties include: couples issues, divorce, children and adolescent behavioral issues, parenting skills, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, domestic violence, sexual abuse, anger management, women's issues, postpartum depression, grief, loss, and addiction recovery, eating disorders, anger management, and faith based counseling. We may all be faced with a different challenge in this new era that we are in. Some of us have discovered things about ourselves and others that we wish could be different. I offer therapy for emotional and relational issues, but especially understanding your own unique personality and how it plays out in accomplishing your goals for change. I offer individual therapy tailored especially for you. I will teach you a new way to live. I will teach you how to live well.

I am a lifelong learner and I believe that the various difficulties we face as people are opportunities to learn, heal, and grow. In my counseling, I assist clients as they orient themselves to their situation and work alongside them to establish a path towards wellness. I may advise clients to complete inventories or seek medical treatment to facilitate their work and progress. I will approach individuals' religious/cultural differences and perspectives with curiosity and sensitivity. During counseling I may use Restoration Therapy, DBT skills, or EMDR to help clients.

My goal is to support you on your journey toward mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Through counseling, clients can explore their current life situation and begin to deal effectively with the circumstances they are facing in a safe environment. Counseling can also provide tools for change, but even more, it can be a springboard to begin identifying some of the factors that have led to the current situation.
