Hello! My name is Nancy Jimenez-Mota, but you can call me Nancy :). I believe to work with my clients and meet the needs they have. On the other hand I'll bring observations I make based on the information we discuss and offer insight, options, and evidence to support your growth. I have treated people facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, mental disorders, life changes, such as divorce, empty nest, loss of jobs, loss of relationships, and others. It seems like these past few years has taught us that not only is our physical health important, but our mental health also needs to take priority as well.

In my life, hope is not an end but a beginning. I have the power of choice. Fueled by hope, which is the belief that things will get better, I decided to focus on doing what it took to change my life. My road to hope helped me see and pursue solutions that were hidden behind a thick fog of despair due to growing up in a dysfunctional home. One thing I tell others is “you cannot give to others what you haven’t been taught”. My parents lack the hope to break the cycle of dysfunction of their past family upbringing. I believe my parents forgot they had a choice to change things.

Shelita Jordan is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas who has over 6 years of experience providing therapeutic care and clinical assessments to adults, couples, and children seeking help with childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management, coping, learning disabilities, alcohol use, women’s issues, relationship concerns, sex offender treatment, and victims of sexual abuse. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at Prairie View A&M and received her Master of Arts in Counseling at Prairie View A&M University.
