The first thing clients notice is her incredible energy and passion for others. In her former life, she held a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and acted and directed professionally. Shelly is skilled in putting herself in the skin of others and understanding the purpose of their behaviors. As a therapist, understanding people in the context of what they have experienced leads to effective change plans communicated in a compassionate, creative, and engaging manner.

Making life changes can be challenging, it takes courage to step out of our comfort zone. I specialize in treating teens and adults by incorporating Reality Therapy with Art Therapy techniques. By using creative expression clients are able to get in touch with what they feel, learn what they want, evaluate their behavior and make a plan for achieving the outcomes they desire. By choosing healthy thoughts and behaviors the client chooses a more fulfilling life.
