Through my practice, You First Counseling, I help motivated individuals work through anxiety, perfectionism, grief, gender dysphoria, relational issues, trauma symptoms, and more. But to work on those things, I'm finding that people need space to fully (for at least one hour) put themselves first; to know that their time is theirs, and to have someone help hold their struggles.
Even before I went into this field, I've always been know as someone that's "easy to talk to." So I leaned into that, and received formal training in techniques that allow me to assist people with unpacking their thoughts, feelings, and actions in a relatable way.
I will always meet you where you're at. I get that finally taking the leap to put yourself first is scary, but probably really needed. Starting therapy can be like buying a new pair of shoes. You've out grown your old pair, but you haven't broken in the new pair yet- meaning you're uncomfy for a little while until you come to enjoy the new pair.
