My clients are largely adolescents and teenagers who have experienced trauma such as physical/ emotional/sexual abuse, neglect, and loss and who are involved in juvenile justice and/or the foster care systems. My clinical training includes trauma-focused, Autism, and behavioral issues; however, I have a great deal of training with all diagnoses. My clients' goals include increased ability to cope with life-stressors, problem solving, and anger management.
I am happy to and able to work with anyone; however, my specialty is at-risk adolescents and teenagers who experience childhood trauma. I use a an eclectic approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from a humanistic perspective, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
