I have had extensive experience working with teenagers, families and couples. I am successful in assisting these clients with depression, anxiety, resolving abusive relationships, addictions, anger management. I have had extensive training and trained others in regards to Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). Being a parent of two special needs adopted children, my academic knowledge is supplemented with the personal experience f daily life with my autistic son and bipolar daughter., Also, having a gifted older son adds to the challenge of being able to assist parents in parenting and disciplining each child based on their unique needs.
As a trained school psychologist, I have the ability to offer my clients cognitive and social emotional assessments. I am uniquely qualified due to life experiences and professional training to work with those experiencing mental illnesses and traumatic brain injury.
I love listening and responding to individual's needs. From my childhood, being the oldest of 11, I have always seen the world as a system with each person affecting the other... be it family members, couples or friends. Our impact on each other cannot be over-stated!
