I am currently a marriage and family therapist licensed in the state of California. As a clinician I have 4+ years’ experience working in residential care as well as community mental health treating children, adolescents, and adults who suffer from various challenges and diagnosis. I have also now worked remotely for 1 year providing individual therapy too all ages and populations. In treatment, I believe that each and every person has the power and the courage to face their trauma and find fulfillment and joy in their lives. I view trauma as the root cause for the majority of mental health problems and diagnoses.
I believe that treating trauma is the foundation for each client to heal and find wellness in their lives. In the therapeutic process I believe the therapist and client should work together collaboratively to establish wellness goals and a plan to reach those goals.
I have been trained in multiple trauma therapy modalities including EMDR, TF-CBT, EFT(emotional freedom technique), and mindfulness. I have used each of these techniques in treatment to process traumatic memories and heal trauma associated symptoms. I have also utilized EMDR to manage chronic pain and sensory issues.
