I counsel the following populations: individuals struggling with anger, depression, grief, anxiety and/or trauma (such as acute trauma or PTSD); couples struggling with communication, trust, infidelity, and/or abusive patterns; and teens struggling with motivation, self-esteem, suicidal preoccupations, anti-social or other behavioral issues. I counsel individuals struggling with psychotic disorders, personality disorders and dissociative disorders. I provide family counseling as well as conflict resolution and mediation services. I provide coaching for wellness, psycho-spiritual growth, communication skills, relationship skills and parenting skills. Also, I provide psychosocial assessments.
My work with anxiety disorders and trauma incorporates a blend of therapies, such as mindfulness-based stress reduction, cognitive behaviorism, eco-therapy, mind-body exercises (such as breath-work), and exposure therapy. Also, I work with people challenged by spiritual emergencies that are often misdiagnosed as mental health disorders.
I see counseling and coaching as collaborative journeys of learning, healing, transformation and growth that respect the needs of the whole person.
