We are taking new clients! My name is Matthew and I am a clinical social worker who uses a person centered, cognitive behavioral therapeutic approach with an emphasis on mindfulness. I specialize in working with clients who are coping with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and other major mental health issues.
My process is to draw upon a client’s strengths and work on creating resiliency by utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapeutic skills. We focus on day to day symptom management as well as long term healing. I believe in a collaborative approach to bolster the therapeutic alliance in order to achieve a client’s goals.
I ally with my clients and work to provide guidance to encourage positive coping and provide relief during the healing process. I strive to create a safe space for individuals to share their story.
