Welcome! As an LPC and an art therapist (ATR-BC), I treat everyone with dignity and respect regardless of their orientation, age, or gender. It is important to meet each client where they are by using a person-centered focus to assist with identifying personal goals. Therapy can be beneficial and involve some discomfort. There are no guarantees but success in therapy can be achieved with participation and consistency. Some issues of focus are: military issues, sexual & physical abuse, trauma, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and career goals in an relaxed office atmosphere to support everyone in feeling comfortable and at ease.
Treatment method is determined by the person, issue, and comfort level. I use methods such as: Art Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Active Listening, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. In Feb 2020, I will offer biofeedback services along with Healing Touch (Levels 1 & 2) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
Psychotherapy is a place to discuss a myriad of issues, events, experiences, and memories to create a positive change or to gain a deeper understanding of oneself.
