At heART & Soul Healing Art Studio, we believe in helping individuals work toward their goals to increase happiness and feelings of wholeness and decrease undesirable feelings, thoughts and behaviors. We understand how difficult this journey may be. We take a holistic approach to assist people in their journey toward healing. In our Art Therapy based studio, individuals of all ability levels will engage in Art Therapy with their clinician to work toward optimal health and healing and growth.

My focus in treatment is meeting my clients where they are while assisting them in determining where they want to be. I put concerted effort into providing compassionate, holistic care for each person and family I work with. I will work collaboratively with you and/or your child to uncover strengths, goals and ways to strengthen relationships and improve communication skills.

Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Chemical Dependency Professional and certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner who specializes in working with clients who have experienced significant trauma and stressors. Licensed to practice in Rhode Island and Maine, Erin has over 20 years of experience providing diverse client-centered care. While working with Erin, you will receive the resources, tools and guidance to meet your mental health and wellness needs and goals.

Facing difficult emotional and interpersonal challenges in our lives can be daunting and can also be a time for growth and healing. My focus is helping couples, individuals, and families identify and address what "doesn't work", and in a meaningful and respectful way, communicate their needs to create balance throughout the system. I believe in a systemic approach, and through the use of empathy, motivation, and a bit of humor, aim to help families recognize their strengths, and put those strengths to use in problem solving. Shine the Light is currently accepting new referrals for adults and children, for individual, couple, and/or family sessions. We have daytime, afternoon/after-school, evening, and Saturday morning availability for both in person and Telehealth. We are also accepting new referrals for psychiatric medication management, with our psychiatric nurse practitioner.

My approach to counseling is supportive and growth oriented. I combine over 20 years of experience in a variety of social service settings with a firm belief that every human being has infinite potential, though sometimes undiscovered. Finding strengths and building on them to create a foundation that sustains the challenges life offers is my focus. A licensed psychologist in Rhode Island and Vermont, I have expertise in women’s issues, trauma (including EMDR treatment), grief, and stress management. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy via telehealth only.
