Hello. My name is Tracy Sherman and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor currently practicing in person and through telehealth in New York State. I primarily work with teenagers and adults to better understand their strengths and how to improve their overall mental health and have been practicing for 12 years. I work with individuals with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, mood disorders and life cycle struggles such as changing of employment, changes in relationships, grief and loss to name a few.
I use a variety of approaches to sessions based on what the individual is looking to gain. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. I also utilize Trauma Focused Therapy when the circumstances warrant.
I have found that working with clients to achieve their goals is best left to the client to determine the course of treatment. I encourage growth and change from clients to achieve their goals.
