When we know better we do better. This aphorism summarizes my approach to psychotherapy, and by extension, that we can all afford to do things a bit better. We all encounter challenges, for some it's feeling overwhelmed in the face of too many obligations and responsibilities. Others are ready to address an obstacle that they have struggled to cope with for years. Still others are experiencing massive upheaval, coping with loss or grief. Regardless of why you come to the door, it can be scary to make yourself emotionally vulnerable and confront current and past issues.
My aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment for you to explore these challenges. I will be flexible, empathic, warm, nonjudgmental, direct, and insightful. I will also bring a sense of humor and curiosity to learn about how you see the world.
I enjoy working with people who are motivated to feel happier in their day-to-day lives. I believe in working collaboratively in a person-centered approach. I specialize in working with people who want to improve their relationships, become more fulfilled in their careers, & generally gain insight, growth, & understanding.
