I believe that everyone has the potential to live an abundant life, filled with joy and adventure. I work with children, adolescents, and adults to find ways to better understand themselves, and to address the roadblocks/challenges that may be interfering with their life goals and relationships. I have a MA degree in marriage and family therapy from George Fox University. My training includes working with individuals, children and adolescents, families, and couples.
I have extensive experience working with adolescents experiencing significant mental health and addiction difficulties, adults with significant mental health challenges, and the children and families affected by trauma, addiction, and mental illness. I am currently a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Association for Play Therapy.
I utilize different approaches which vary per developmental stages. I lean on person-centered and attachment theory approaches for both children and adults. I also use techniques from cognitive behavioral, solution-focused therapy, and holistic/integrative therapies. With children, I utilize child centered play therapy and sand-tray therapy.
