Navigating the world as an adolescent or teen can feel overwhelming, lonely and scary. They often find themselves struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety which can make their day to day experiences feel unmanageable. My passion as a licensed professional counselor is to assist adolescents and teens in understandings and improving their mental health to help them enjoy life. I understand that reaching out for help in itself can be a challenge.
My treatment approach utlizes Dialectal Behavior Therapy which provides my clients with tools and skills to navigate their world and increase their overall well-being. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which provides insight into our thought patterns and provides a framework for making real and lasting changes.
My therapeutic approach is casual and I aim to create an environment in which my clients feel safe and supportive. I enjoy using various modalities including talk therapy, worksheets, and art therapy depending on my clients goals and preferences.
