For more than 25 years, I have worked in the counseling and mental health field helping clients from various cultural backgrounds and multicultural interests and mental health concerns. I’m grateful to avail myself to effectively help my clients make positive, targeted, measurable changes in their lives in achieving their identified goals; using a strengths-based therapeutic model of care. My primary therapeutic approaches are Person Centered, Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Adlerian therapy takes an optimistic view and focuses on your unique strengths, creativity and capabilities.
In working with you, I will use CBT to help you understand your mind body connection and how your thoughts shape your behaviors and actions. I will listen to your needs, and focus on your strengths and abilities to hear how to best provide you with coping skills and behavior change techniques to help you achieve your identified goals.
My counseling style is casual, lighthearted and targeted. I have been described as supportive, caring, compassionate, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. My goal is to identify your strengths and help you to maximize them. I’m most known for creating a therapeutic environment filled with hope, insight, healing, truth and joy.
