Finding the ‘right’ therapist can be tough, and it’s important that you feel a strong connection with that person! I specialize in three main areas: (1) LGBTQ+ issues, such as internalized homophobia, navigating the coming out process, and building healthy gay community connection; (2) couples therapy for issues related to infidelity, communication, polyamory, kink, and substance use/abuse; and (3) individual therapy for anxiety, trauma, OCD, hoarding, and substance use/abuse.
I provide client-centered and evidence-based therapy. My approach to treatment is informed by research and varies based on your presenting concerns and preferences (e.g., CBT for anxiety, Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD). For couples, I primarily use Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT).
