Hi, my name is Tomia Bowden and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in the Los Angeles area and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults experiencing various mental health difficulties and life challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues to name a few. Utilizing a humanistic approach, I focus on helping you develop a strong and healthy sense of self through exploring feelings and enhancing strengths.
My approach to therapy is to meet the client exactly where they are, provide empathy and support, and focus on what is positive. My client population is Adults. I find that my direct and straightforward approach works best with adults experiencing various situations, changes, and challenges.
Our first session will consist of developing a therapeutic relationship and building trust. I will ask exploratory questions geared toward understanding why you have chosen to enter therapy at this time. I will take the time to listen empathetically and ensure that you never feel judged and answer any questions that you may have.
