As a trained clinician and someone who has benefited from therapy myself, I know how terrifying it can be to consider going to a counselor. My goal with all of my clients is to put them at ease by caring for and accepting them just as they are, and to understand the issues they are facing. I want to know what your needs and goals are, and help you create a roadmap to accomplish your goals. I want to understand what you want, and why, so that I can tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs and expectations.
I have personal and professional experience in working with clients that have experienced trauma, identity issues, toxic masculinity, marital and family issues, and drug, alcohol, and behavioral addictions. My counseling orientation is person-centered, with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and a sprinkling of psychodynamic techniques.
Sometimes it can be so helpful to talk to someone who will maintain your privacy and is not connected personally to the issues you might be facing. I offer a free, 15 minute consultation.
