I have been a counselor for a decade in PA prior to relocating from Brooklyn, NY where I worked in wellness coaching. I take an integrated clinical approach at how the mind and body are impacted by our environments and relationships. I am also a doctoral candidate at Shippensburg University in the Department of Counselor Education and am looking forward to leveling up to "Dr. Tom" by the end of 2024! I am also the Associate Director at Courtyard Counseling Center, LCC and am a consultant for organizations around various mental health subjects. My mission is to help create systems where everyone can thrive.
Counseling lets you practice re-writing your story. My goal is to help create a safe, and brave space where clients can take risks to get “unstuck”. People tend to have a good idea of what upsets and distresses them, but counseling is about finding new perspectives and behaviors to do something different.
The counselor-client relationship is one of trust, compassion, honesty, and allows people to have better relationships with others in their lives. Counseling is not one size fits all, and I will work with you to customize our process towards what is most important to you.
