Counseling doesn’t always have to involve diving into deep childhood trauma, though sometimes it does. Counseling can be the place to explore existential themes that we encounter throughout the human experience, such as meaninglessness, loneliness, shame, inauthenticity, and more. It can be the place where we find acceptance and validation that encourages us to take steps to achieve our goals for a more fulfilling existence. My approach focuses on helping you uncover your true self so that you can live your best life on YOUR terms.
I integrate existentialism with CBT, that is supplemented by evidenced-based practices and psychoeducation. I help my clients explore their personal choices and develop strategies that fit with their unique lifestyle. Authenticity is essential in my counseling, and I will guide each person along that terrifying, yet satisfying, journey of self-exploration.
