From an early age relationship shapes us, and the throws of life can do harm and trigger wellsprings of emotion that make coping and communication difficult. Emotionally laden issues can take on a life of their own and the negative cycle can feel exhausting and unending. The subsequent stress and anxiety strain relationships and tax the mind, body, and spirit. As a marriage and family therapist with a doctorate in traumatology, I enjoy helping individuals and married couples process the complexities of emotion and mental wellbeing to discover longstanding patterns and issues that thwart health, peace, and intimacy.
As a husband of over 20 years, father of four, and parenting a child with autism, I have experienced a myriad of complexities that serve to strengthen my Christian faith and resolve to learn more and love better, and I enjoy using my experience and expertise to walk alongside others as they heal, rediscover parts of themselves, and grow in relationship.
