I know that seeking help can be overwhelming and there are many qualified individuals who could help you, but you need a therapist who is a good fit for you. Consider if I am this "good fit". One of my favorite quotes from Alice in Wonderland is: "It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then." When we feel stuck in our world, it is so hard to see past our pain and frustration. My goal as a therapist is to guide clients down an intentional path of balance and healing. Our thoughts can be so powerful. Negative ones hold us captive and keep us in the dark, but positive thoughts have the ability to transform us.

As an experienced child and family therapist, I am committed to helping families become happy, healthy, and whole. My area of expertise includes early childhood development, trauma, and childhood mental health. I am experienced in the treatment of a wide range of issues including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and behavioral issues. Other issues I commonly work with are emotion dysregulation, school-related difficulties, and parenting challenges.

I enjoy working with all ages, and have extensive experience helping clients who have experienced trauma and anxiety. I love helping children who are in foster care and/or who have been adopted, and also with adults who have experienced a traumatic childhood. It is very satisfying to watch someone overcome the obstacles that have kept them from enjoying life and reaching their highest potential.

I am a graduate clinician working towards my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and will graduate in May 2025. I am passionate about working with children and adults with autism. I want to be able to help them understand their diagnosis and navigate the world in their own way. I am also very passionate about the use of animals in therapy. I graduated with my bachelor’s in animal science from Brigham Young University in 2019. My background in animal science has informed my clinical experience by giving me the understanding of the importance of paraverbal communication and body language.

I am a licensed master social worker currently accepting new clients at Divergent Roads Counseling. With more than 6 years in the mental health field, I specialize in helping clients of all ages cope with anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, and grief. My extensive experience spans inpatient psychiatric care and outpatient intensive treatment settings. Utilizing a trauma-informed and client-centered approach, I aim to empower individuals to navigate and heal from past challenges, fostering their journey towards overall well-being.
