I really enjoy seeing people be successful. I have a PhD in educational psychology, a MA in professional counseling, and a BS in psychology. I am a pre-licensed clinician serving the Murfreesboro area through Ellie Mental Health. I help people talk through difficulties of anxiety, depression, adjustment, and other mental health issues through talk-therapy. I believe that just by addressing the problem within the therapeutic relationship allows space for people to heal. I am willing to work at your pace to start the healing process.

My passion is to help the people who have spent their lives helping others. I recently retired after 27 years in the fire service and believe this experience makes me uniquely equipped to help first responders. My practice is trauma based and I offer EMDR to help deal with the trauma in the lives of my clients. While I hope to work with many first responders this is not the only focus of my service. I have nearly 10 years experience in treating addictions. My practice is open to individual, couple, and group therapy.

Sometimes clients can feel stuck in “survival mode”, which can keep them from fully engaging in their lives. I am passionate about empowering my clients to see they have options in their lives and ensure they are able to regain a sense of self. I believe such empowerment allows clients to create better connections with others and have compassion for themselves. I offer in person sessions in TN. I offer teletherapy for my clients in the states of TN, AZ, MO and FL. Is depression, anxiety, or anger holding you back from where you want to be in life? There is a better way. We start with the symptoms of the present. Then look at how trauma affects the brain and changes how we, think, feel, and behave here in the present. Clients utilize my testing and evaluation services to determine the nature of their learning difficulties and to develop a treatment plan tailored to help them overcome these difficulties. Many clients receive counseling to help them to improve their school or work performance and to improve their self-esteem. Referrals are made to medical doctors if medications are deemed necessary (i.e., for ADHD, depression, etc.). Also, I am passionate about helping others with various emotional difficulties, relationship problems, and improving general life satisfaction through individual, family, and group therapies.
