Do you feel like there is a black fog hanging over you and you just can't shake it? You're exhausted from taking care of everybody else and wonder when somebody is going to take care of you? Maybe it's not that at all, maybe you lost someone and you feel like you just can't go on. Sometimes the unthinkable happened and the world stopped. Either way, you're in a dark place with no answers and feel like there is no hope. Your nerves are shot, you can't eat or sleep. You can't think, can't get anything done and don't want to die. You also don't know how you can face tomorrow and live because the pain just never seems to end.

Claire is a nondirective child-centered play therapist who believes strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship. She strives to provide a warm, safe, and fun environment for children to cope with life’s stressors. During the play therapy process, she assists them in navigating internal experiences in a way that makes the most sense to them while using their most natural form of communication… play! Alongside individual counseling with children, she incorporates parenting support to strengthen the quality of parent-child attachment bonds in hopes of reducing relational stress.

I work with adults, teens, preteens, and children starting at 6 years old. Many of my clients are looking for coping skills to aid with mood disorders, conduct issues, or impulse-control disorders, such as anxiety, depression, behavior problems, and ADHD. Some want to work through trauma or grief. Others have less common problems. However, all are looking to make a change, but they do not know how to or do not want to do it on their own.
