I use trauma-informed approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness Based techniques to support healing from trauma, with a focus on integrating body and mind.
I work with teenagers and adults who are seeking to heal from past hardships, build helpful coping strategies, and discover emotional wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we can identify and build upon your strengths in order to process and integrate your past, present, and future, discovering a life worth living. As humans, we need to feel seen, understood, and valued for our experience. In a chaotic, changing world, it can be difficult to form the type of supportive networks that allow individuals to feel valued or empowered.

I specialize in trauma recovery & utilize EMDR and Brainspotting techniques.
Many of us are private people, who could use a little extra support and direction to overcome life's challenges. Acceptance and Confidentiality are two important aspects of Fairhaven Counseling & Consulting. Throughout my career I have learned that clients progress most effectively with an honest, non-judgmental, compassionate, but direct approach. I love watching clients rediscover their inner strength and begin to experience the joys life has to offer. I offer both personal & professional perspectives to overcoming trauma and rebuilding a life worth living.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is considered by many to be one of the best treatments for trauma and is my preferred methodology in helping individuals to get “unstuck”.
Hello! Helping individuals to heal from their pasts and grow into the best version of themselves is something I truly love. Today, we know that trauma settles into our brains and bodies in ways that time cannot fully heal (despite the old adage, “time heals everything”) . Would you like to be more present in your daily life, have a healthier relationship to yourself and others? I would love to work together to help you heal from your past, so that you can live life more fully today.

I consider it one of my greatest privileges to partner with people as they navigate their stories. I know from personal experience that therapy can be invaluable when processing change, emotional turmoil, and questions about self. While I often utilize concepts from CBT, DBT, and other theories, I most often draw from Narrative Theory and take a Person-Centered approach in my work with clients. I am trained in TF-CBT and EMDR, and my professional history includes over four years working exclusively with survivors of sexual trauma.

I offer state of the art Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
Let's not say "therapy," let's call it what it is - developing Emotional Intelligence. Emotional Intelligence is the key to a positive lifestyle. You are not born with Emotional Intelligence, nor does it come naturally. It is a skill that develops over time. Throughout our life, we are exposed to stress, adverse events and life-changing situations. These experiences add up, accumulate, get filed away in our minds; only to arise at the most inconvenient times, impacting our ability to function with everyday life. Having a strong Emotional Intelligence helps you manage and get your life back on track.

Using modalities such as ACT, meditation, mindfulness, somatic work, EMDR, and other trauma-informed approaches, I aim to empower clients to realize their internal resources for healing and growth and come into alignment with their true self.
Life is a natural ebb and flow. However, when we get stuck in the ebb we can begin to develop patterns of being that do not serve our physical and emotional wellbeing; this can be a difficult place from which to emerge. The decision to seek guidance during these times is a bold act of self-compassion. We have incredible internal resources and an inherent capacity for healing. My role is to help guide clients back to connection with their authentic selves and others through the process of curious exploration, loving-kindness, and present moment awareness.

When helping clients process past traumatic experiences, I utilize a trauma focused psychotherapy approach that may include EMDR, DBT, and elements from CPT.
Many individuals are confronted at certain times in their life with a set of challenges and difficulties that seem insurmountable or overwhelming. Others are seeking guidance or insight in how to rediscover a sense of direction or purpose in their lives. Seeking out help is an act of courage and self-validation. Stop putting it off.

I offer therapy utilizing Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) ; Eye Movement Desentization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness.
My clients often are experiencing a life that feels without meaning and control. A life that is filled with chronic stress. This stress results from conflict in our relationships and multiple roles in life. At other times, this stress is residue from unresolved life events that have depleted the ability to see through a lens of love. Life then naturally becomes driven by fear. If you are seeking to learn a way to create a life that feels worth living, despite any circumstance. I can teach you the way. The majority of my clients are experiencing anxiety, anger and depression in their daily life.
