As a counseling psychologist by education, I have been blessed to provide individual, group, marital and family counseling for over 30 years in various settings including major medical centers, university counseling centers, and private practices. I prefer to work collaboratively with clients, ages 13 to adult, and assist in their development of life and relational skills to help moderate their anxiety, depression, grief, frustration or relationship distress. My clients are confronting various life transitions including job stress/dissatisfaction, mid-life confusion, betrayal, divorce, adjustment to change or loss of a loved one.

Today's adults and kids are more connected and busier than ever, yet also feel stuck, unfulfilled, and sometimes lonely. A busy life doesn’t always mean we feel seen and heard. Sometimes life gets messy, and we put on a happy face and tell ourselves, “I will deal with that later.” Pain and loss are realities, but there aren’t lessons in school on how to handle these truths, and our lives can turn gray. Alyssa Scott is a Psychologist in Tennessee who has been practicing since 2022. She obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Pacific University in Oregon. Alyssa's therapeutic style is an eclectic mix of evidence-based treatment modalities to help clients and families achieve their goals. She wanted to get her doctorate so that she could have the highest skill set possible to bring to her clients. As a clinician, Alyssa is warm, positive, enthusiastic, collaborative, and solution focused.

Hunter has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient mental health, adolescent residential, community mental health, as well as providing services to youth in the juvenile justice system. He makes it a priority to work with his client’s to bring out their innate strengths in order to improve their lives. He does so by encouraging acceptance of their current life situation and working towards living in a manner more consistent with the client’s deeply held values of what is important to them.
