I received my Master of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. I'm licensed in the State of Tennessee as a Professional Counselor (LPC/MHSP) and nationally certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC). I'm also credentialed as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) for the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and have completed Gottman Level 1 training.

She is licensed in Tennessee as a licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP) and has worked in the counseling field for 5 years treating a variety of mental health issues in children, adolescents, and adults. Carrie has worked in residential and outpatient treatment settings. She has experience with, and is passionate about, working with adolescents, young adults, and adults with eating disorders. Carrie also has experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, and trauma, substance abuse, and more.

At times symptoms from anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression that follows, can hinder our ability from living the life we want, especially when feeling vulnerable and misunderstood. Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a focus in Veterinary Social Work. I love to integrate the human-animal bond into my work as a therapist. I have experience with a variety of treatment topics. I love to work with clients to help process grief, loss, and life transitions. I also have special experience working with individuals experiencing pet loss, which is often an overlooked or undervalued treatment area.

My practice is centered around helping women and children cope with difficult emotions and express themselves with confidence. When children experience big emotions, they usually do not know how to talk about them. Kids teach us so much about their inner world if we just watch them play. I am passionate about helping kids have a better understanding of their emotions, learn to regulate them, and support caregivers with strengthen their relationship with their child. I also aim to empower women to set boundaries, process emotions, and heal from traumatic events. I follow your pace and give you space to heal in your own time.

I am a Baby Boomer. I realize I have probably lived three-quarters of my life, during which I have experienced most of the situations one can experience throughout one's life. I still have a positive outlook on the time I have left, and I want all of my generation to feel that their presence on this earth has made a difference. I have counseled families who promised to "never put Mom in a nursing home". I have counseled those who never thought they would end up there. Retirees, divorcees, widows/widowers, empty nesters, mid-life crises, what's left now?, all are welcome. Latter life situations are my specialty.
