I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Hypnosis, and Positive Psychology to help people overcome anxiety, depression, ADHD, addiction, and trauma.
Book with me now by clicking on my website. Anxiety exhausts, paralyzes, and overwhelms us. Depression leaves us feeling hopeless, worthless, and alone. ADHD can stifle our productivity while crushing our self-esteem. Addiction keeps us in bondage to that which will never truly satisfy. And marital and family relationships that were supposed to serve as secure bases can quickly become sources of tremendous pain and distress. You've tried to overcome these issues on your own but to no avail; you feel stuck and as though you've run out of options. But there is hope!

I use traditional methods like Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Motivational Interviewing as well as evidence-based EMDR, Equine Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.
A trauma therapist, certified in EMDR and EAGALA equine therapy. Horses are metaphors for the human experience and how each individual interprets the herd explains how they see themselves in the human constellation Approaching horses helps us reflect how we approach our relationships and how we can face other big or overwhelming things in our lives. Since the solutions are personally experienced in conjunction with intellectual understanding, they tend to be deeper, more profound, and longer lasting. I walk with my clients through the trauma and to the other side of healing.

This is integrated into any modality I offer, whether relationship and sex therapy, EMDR, or cognitive/behavioral work.
I love helping young women and couples find wholeness in relationship with themselves, others, and God. Whether you are someone(s) overcoming trauma or family of origin issues, discerning your own belief system, striving to create a life of alignment, strengthening the intertwining of two unique lives before or after marriage, navigating sexual intimacy struggles, or simply going through a big life adjustment and need a safe space to process, I so look forward to meeting you and joining in on the adventure.

Hello! For the past 20 years, I have had the pleasure of working with children, teens and adults in the areas of anxiety, trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, grief, attachment and behaviors issues. I am always seeking to observe and understand my clients’ needs through a trifocal lens of Attachment, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Trained in EMDR in 2007, I view EMDR as one of the most powerful tools in the therapeutic tool chest. I often use EMDR alongside a myriad of CBT, play/art therapy, “parts” work, mindfulness and relaxation, EFT tapping, sensory, and somatic healing strategies.

I draw on many modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Therapy, and primarily use a Humanistic approach.
As therapists, we are public servants. We have devoted our lives to making something from nothing, to find complex solutions to complex problems. To care and hold space in the face of disaster, trauma and fear. To give assurance and strength and help others rise. - Kirsten Haney, LMFT.

My primary treatment model is EMDR, however in addition I use other models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Intervention Therapy.

Through a humanistic, strength-based, person-centered therapeutic approach, I use evidence-based practices of CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and play therapy interventions.
As humans, we develop physically, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally throughout our lives. During our life our development becomes tested by typical and/or atypical challenges. How we respond to these challenges impacts our continued growth. I love working with people across the lifespan addressing these challenges during which learning, growth, and empowerment stem. I have a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults in their process of ‘becoming’.

I then tailor a variety of therapeutic models including: Person-Centered, Adlerian, and CBT, to best suit your needs and pave a path for growth.
Growing up in rural Tennessee, I have seen and experienced many of the issues that our communities face and have focused my career on helping people work through those everyday problems. Potential clients for me may be experiencing symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, or Burnout. A history of Trauma or Substance Use may have you feeling stuck in the mud, or perhaps there are pieces of your identity such as ADHD, Autism, Spiritual, or Gender/Sexual identity that have posed their own set of challenges in feeling accepted in the world. Whatever you may be experiencing, it’s important to remember: you are worth the effort to create change.

I am trained in comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and utilize behavioral and cognitive techniques.
Does it feel like you’re drowning in the riptide of life? Being a human can be overwhelming and complicated. It is common to be bombarded with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings that you aren't sure how to cope with. Struggles with low self-worth, perfectionism, thoughts of suicide or self-harm, bullying or trouble with peers, destructive behaviors, and trouble communicating (or even just acknowledging) needs can feel unbearable. I want to help you face these difficulties head on and move from just keeping your head above water to thriving.

Using a unique combination of Motivational interviewing, CBT, and DBT skills, you’ll cultivate the power of self-love.
Somewhere along the way, you lost yourself. It happened so slowly that you barely realized it. Every time you spoke up at work, the voice in your head would criticize you, “You’re making a fool of yourself.” So, eventually, you stopped speaking up. After dates, you’d obsess over every interaction to the point where you’d be sick with worry. So, you decided it’s not worth it to keep dating. Little by little, you stopped doing things and receded further into yourself. You took fewer chances and felt fewer emotions. Every day, your world got smaller... You know you deserve more from life than this, but you’re unsure how to get it.
