Hello! I am a therapist that specializes in family therapy and therapy for children and teens ages 3-18. I also enjoy working with adults of all ages who are experiencing grief, anxiety, or tics. I believe that people are exceptionally resilient. However, there are times when circumstances become too overwhelming to bear alone. Children may have difficulty sharing their emotions verbally and will instead act out, causing stress in the family. My passion is creating a safe space for healing to occur. I work with children and families experiencing anxiety, depression, tics, autism (levels 1 and 2), trauma, grief, divorce, and more.

I am a Masters Level therapist with 17+ years experience. I work with older children through senior adults, marriage/family/parenting issues, and mental health disorders, such as Depression and Anxiety. As a former teacher, I have a unique combination of experiences that contribute to my success in working with youth. When counseling school age children, I involve the client's entire environment (parents, teachers, etc.) to develop a comprehensive plan in treating the whole client. I am a member of the AACC.

I have been working in the mental health field since 1995 and with both adolescents and adults. I have worked in a variety of settings, including residential, in-home, and outpatient. Some particular areas of focus are: emotional issues that disrupt one's life (including anxiety, stress, anger management and depression), parenting struggles, adolescent and young adult issues, parent/child relationships and improving/enhancing marital relationships. My therapeutic model is eclectic and utilizes multiple techniques. I welcome all religions, ethnicity, gender identities and sexual orientations.

I am providing online sessions only. Therapy can be intimidating for many people, but it’s my job to help you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. I enjoy working with young adults, parents, and particularly new moms. I believe it’s essential to provide a space that is filled with honesty, empathy, and kindness so that every client feels safe to express their needs. I am a Christian and believe that my faith helps me meet people exactly where they are and guide them toward healing and growth.

No matter how much effort you put forth in your significant relationships, the message you want them to receive, seems lost in the confusion of misunderstandings. You want to love and be loved, but you continue to feel alone and sometimes devalued. What is their problem --or your's? How can you connect in healthy ways and maintain your own personal values and goals? As your mind continues to repeat memories of failed attempts to fix what has gone wrong, you don't know where to turn for real help. Everyone seems to have an answer, but no one sees the whole picture. There are times when an objective listener is the best option.

Choosing to pursue therapy is courageous. Life throws curve balls, often forcing us to face challenges which seem impossible to navigate. Obstacles such as trauma, infidelity, life transitions (birth, divorce, facing an empty nest, etc.), anxiety, or depression, can feel daunting. I am privileged to hear your story and I am honored to sit with you as we sort through your specific situation and move toward healing.

I am passionately committed to working with couples, families, and individuals of most ages. I have 4+ years of experience working with children and families in the foster care system and the range of effects this has on each family member. It is a privilege to work with couples and families in conflict to keep them together when possible, and mitigate the devastating consequences of divorce when it’s unavoidable. Some of these consequences include: trauma, suicidal thoughts and ideation, anxiety, depression, behavioral, and relational issues (insecurity, instability, and conflict).

Pain is an unavoidable reality in life, but it does not have to have the final word. If we are willing to step into our emerging story, new possibilities of healing and growth become achievable and lead us towards a more meaningful life. Whether it is dealing with the effects of trauma or other negative past life events, persistent or recurrent painful emotions, or a difficult season of life, we all have times where it is hard to find the path forward. But there is a path forward, especially when we are willing to reach out for help.

My goal is to hold hope for individuals, couples and families until they are able to hope for themselves. I have been helping others: Special needs, Relational, Behavioral, A&D, Elderly, and Children as a C.N.A., Foster mother, Care giver, Activity Director, and as a Therapist during my adult life. I have 10 grandchildren, and 4 are special needs children. I have several years experience providing Couples/Marriage, Family, and Behavioral and Mental therapy; and am eclectic in my use of modalities. I am an author with Good News and multiple other psychology sites. Heal and Hope Counseling Services, LLC have 3-5 counselors of diverse backgrounds, cultures, languages, and specialties!!! I have worked with children and families for 15 years with the last 8 years being in mental health. I have a desire to help people find their road to healing. I have worked with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-harm, suicidal-ideations, phase of life changes, divorce and self-esteem struggles that often life brings. Together we will work to find your road to healing. I want to work with you to empower you to find the solutions and strength to overcome whatever obstacles you are facing.

My goal is to offer a safe comforting space free of the fear of judgement for you or your family to explore what healing looks like for you. My passion is walking along side teens ages 12-19, their families, and pre-marital couples. I offer help with those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, ADHD, grief, adoption, and more. As a therapist I have experience working with adolescents boys in residential treatment, their families, and separately have worked with premarital couples counseling!

Pregnancy, parenthood and fertility challenges can be so stressful and overwhelming it can be difficult to know how to manage all the emotions and intensity of the stress. It can feel like you're drowning! I would love to be there with you in the healing process. My passion is working with individuals navigating the perinatal (pertaining to the period between conception and 3 years postpartum) and parenthood stages of life. I have advanced training in postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, traumatic birth experiences, stillbirth, child loss, pregnancy loss, reproductive trauma, assisted fertility stress and fertility challenges.
