Robert is an Intervention Specialist trained in guiding families through the systemic process whereby a person addicted to alcohol or drugs is encouraged to accept help and enter treatment. Robert has worked in treatment centers and detoxification facilities as a counselor, program developer, educator, director of admission and clinical supervisor. Robert's practice specializes in substance abuse interventions, counseling, DOT/SAP services and community prevention. Robert is certified and licensed as an Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse counselor; Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) ; Prevention Specialist; and Crisis Interventionist.

As a clinical mental health counselor, I am passionate about assisting men in navigating various challenges that impact their lives. With specialization in identity, anxiety, depression, career, resiliency, perfectionism, communication, and conflict, I offer a comprehensive and personalized approach to each client. My therapeutic philosophy revolves around recognizing the uniqueness of each individual. I firmly believe that a one-size-fits-all method does not effectively address the complexities of human experiences. What I do is take the time to understand each client's specific needs, concerns, and aspirations.

Life can be complicated, overwhelming, challenging, and messy. People don’t tend to fit in neat little boxes, but I find that beautiful. The people I comes in contact with never cease to amaze and inspire me with their stories, struggles, and victories. I am committed to creating a safe and nonjudgemental space for people to explore healing and reconnect with themselves, others, and with hope beyond ourselves. I work with clients who have some desire to move toward abstinence and/or recovery. Many of my clients have experienced negative consequences due to alcohol or drug use, including contact with the criminal justice system, loss of their driver's license, job, children, etc. I provide substance abuse counseling, drug education and an Alcohol and Drug Assessment that will satisfy most state requirements.

I have extensive experience with substance abuse/addiction, eating disorders, trauma and mood disorders (depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar) along with issues related to grief and mild cognitive impairment and caregiving issues. My primary work today is with those individuals struggling to achieve the best version of themselves. A variety of factors are at play here from past trauma, difficulty connecting, tragic life events, self sabotaging or self destructive coping skills, among others that get in our own way. I offer a place for the individual to explore past patterns and create a new narrative for a new future.​

My clients struggle with processing issues, and struggle to live in a world that is not designed for those that are neuro-divergent, and I am able to help turn those feelings around!

Aided by her warmth and authenticity, Cassandra creates an environment where clients feel supported and empowered to share their experiences. She has decades of life experience working with adolescents and adults across multiple settings, which informs her practice. Cassandra works with clients who have experienced a life change, trauma, grief/loss and are experiencing adjustment difficulties, anxiety, and/or depression. She provides individual therapy for adolescents, adults as well as couples therapy.
