Currently accepting a limited number of clients... ... ... You are the most important person in the room and our partnership matters while on the therapy journey. Are you are having difficulty in making lemonade from life's-lemons, difficulty adjusting to changes, dealing with the unexpected stress of life? The therapy process is totally focused on the person, client...you. Expect a warm, welcoming and positive atmosphere where you are unconditionally received. I believe that many things can positively be affected when a person feels encouraged, believed in, and safe. I also enjoy a sense of humor, laughter and relationship.

I also have experience around relational conflict as well as working with those affected by others with Narcissistic or Borderline Personality Disorder.
My mission is to create a safe space for individuals to find healing, freedom, and self-acceptance. I'm passionate about helping my clients regain confidence while beginning to love and trust themselves. I help my clients unlearn negative beliefs and begin to change relationship patterns that no longer serve them. I work well with people pleasers, people who struggle to set boundaries, or people who chronically sacrifice themselves for others. When we are able to know what we need and set limits in our relationships, we enhance our emotional well-being and our relationships become healthier.

I am a specialist in covert narcissistic abuse and psychological indoctrination via trauma bonds much like Stockholm Syndrome.
I am currently prepping for my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Boards to gain prescriptive privileges in my practice. Narcissistic Abuse is my specialty and currently the only patients I see. I have personally experienced NA and can empathize as I believe it is one of the most egregious forms of abuse. This is due to the psychological and emotional indoctrination that takes place. Also, most NA victims typically end up with at least 1 other MH comorbidity, speaking to its insidious nature. If you even think you might be experiencing NA, please reach out, I can help.

Asking for help is sometimes difficult, and also powerful. Daily struggles with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, intrusive thoughts can become overwhelming. Complex trauma, substance use, eating disorders, unhealthy relationships, are among a few that can also keep us from our authentic self. In order to survive through all of this and keep going, it is common to adapt in ways that end up no longer working. We need help. That help comes from recognizing the gifts we have in ourselves and getting the gifts of others. My gift is to help others with aligning the head and the heart while healing to recognize authentic self.

Talk therapy is not enough. My approach to therapy focuses on combining cognitive and somatic therapies to strengthen connection to self, and reduce the blocks to healing. The goal is to connect to your authenticity, and have the freedom to find positive and affirming ways to enjoy relationships with self and others. The goal is to experience life without shutting down or disconnecting, and/or using destructive behaviors to reduce pain and distress. Attaining the freedom to choose what you want for yourself, begins with taking the first step.

Together we will find the right path, and right set of practical tools, to help you overcome obstacles and become your best self. After over a decade-and-a-half working in mental health, I am skilled in the latest, evidence-based therapies available (e.g., Relational Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy). But no single approach works for all people at all times and, remaining flexible, we will create a safe therapeutic environment with the best combination of techniques that works for you. So many different psychotherapies exist today because there is no one approach that works at all times.

What an honor it is to share space with folks who want to enjoy their lives to the fullest! I'm here to help you improve relationships, regulate emotions, overcome past hurts, and plan for living your best life. I'll work with you to move past barriers so that you can achieve your goals. I am passionate about empowering you to be the greatest version of yourself. If you measure yourself as a "human doing" instead of a "human being”, if you have difficulty setting boundaries with friends and family, if you find yourself repeating the same patterns that are no longer serving you, I'd love to talk with you.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Therapists

What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?

By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?

Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?

It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
